What Month is this??

I cannot believe that it's the middle of July and the summer is half over already!  So I wasn't really aware that this little family blog has regular readers...until meeting up with my friend Julie a week ago.  She said, "I realize you're a busy mom, but is your blog broken?"...or something to that effect.  I have a list of several posts that I have been keeping since April...the last time I posted!

The truth is, we have been so crazy busy these past couple of months (hence my disbelief in the fact that Summer is half over after waiting what felt like an eternity for it to get here!).  In the month of June, we were home for ONE weekend...and while updating the blog has been on my never-ending "to do" list for the past two months, it doesn't ever seem to make the cut.  Instead the priorities have been unpacking, cleaning the house, laundry, repacking, and sleep! Ok I'm not gonna lie...I occasionally opt for giving my brain a break and The Real Housewives take priority over the blog! We've tried squeezing in a teeny tiny basement project if we can.  I'm so ready to just hire a contractor and get this thing finished.  October is the deadline...2 YEARS after we started.  Clearly, we don't have time to do it on our own.   And for the first time I think since we've moved in here, our weeds have grown taller than most of our plants...and we still haven't landscaped...5 years later.  So needless to say, a little bit of yard work here and there has also taken priority.

And just when I thought I would have time to catch up on a few posts this weekend, I realized that I left my external hard drive in La Crosse at my parents house...which holds all of my pictures.  SO, the updates will be here eventually...probably in the form of "monthly updates", but I am determined. I had a book of our blog printed that contained all of the posts and pictures of Rylie's first year of life.  While I do have baby books for each of the girls...as in, I purchased them, but they have yet to be completed...this blog has more detail/photos of what we have done over the past year than I could put in a baby book. So I am committed to ordering a book of Reagan's first year too.

In the mean time, enjoy a video of my sweet girls.  My Rylie girl is quite the performer...she sings All.The.Time.  There are nights that she sings to Reagan from her bed across the hall...it is no easy task getting the little one to bed and we often have to let her cry a little bit.  On this particular night, Reagan was screaming while I ran to get her a sippy of milk.  I came back to find Rylie in her room singing "Delta Dawn"...our version is actually "Reagan Dawn"...to her sister to calm her down.  It was SOOO sweet.  So I asked her to sing it again for me.

The video...
