My maternity leave seemed so much busier this time around. I had Rylie in the Summer and it was just the two of us at home...we had no where we had to be. And I was a nervous first time mom...what if she cried in a store...what if she needed to eat. So we stuck pretty close to home aside from a few visits with family, friends, and walks outside. I was off all Summer with Reagan too, but had Rylie at home the whole time too she was just turning 3 that Summer. So we stayed busy playing outside and having play dates with friends. She was a good helper for me while we were home.
And THIS time...I had a Fall baby. Rylie was in school all day and Reagan was in 3K two mornings a week. She also kept going to Auntie Beth's a couple days a week so I had a couple days with just Rory and could catch up on some of the stuff at home. But between getting them on/off the bus and running to/from school and to the Halloween parties and Christmas parties at school and swimming and gymnastics and with the holidays in there too (decorating, buying, wrapping etc), this maternity leave FLEW by faster than I could have imagined. And on my To Do list of at least 20 items...I crossed off two...I accomplished two things aside from the normal daily routine of packing lunches, making meals, doing dishes, laundry and chauffeuring kids.
We did, however, take October a little bit slower as I couldn't do much for the first two weeks...so there are plenty of pictures of my sweet Rory babe. So, here is what we were up to in October.

We couldn't fit in our annual trip to Jim's Pumpkin Farm with the Maio's this year, but we did manage a very quick trip to Basse's where we got in a couple of pictures while Rory stayed bundled in the stroller. Our friends the Murphy's were in town from Michigan so we were able to meet up with them and catch up a little in between chasing our kiddos around.

Reagan loved to put her two little snuggle toys on either side of her right next to her head to keep her company. Sometimes she put them on her head so we had to have a discussion about not suffocating her.
