Reagan's 1st Birthday Weekend

Reagan's birthday weekend was a busy one.  We decided this year to do a joint birthday party this year to celebrate the girls' birthdays, which we're planning for mid-June, in between their two birthdays, but we still celebrate them individually with just our family on the actual day. Reagan's first birthday fell on a Saturday.  My parents were in town as they were going to watch the girls for us on Saturday night. We were lucky it was such a nice day since at the beginning of May it was still in the 50's!  On the weekends, we usually bring the girls into our bed when they wake up in the morning to snuggle with them and watch some cartoons.  Rylie sang Happy Birthday to Reagan and then asked me, "Mommy, is Reagan 1 now?" I said yes, she's one.  Rylie says, "I want to see how big she is, can she stand up? (I stand her up) Oh my good Reagan, you got one now!!"  It was the cutest thing ever...the thought that she would just grow that much bigger overnight.

We spent the morning and early afternoon at the zoo, as we have on most birthdays so far.  We have learned that we enjoy even spending just a couple of hours there.  Once we got home Reagan opened her gifts from us and from Rylie and we had some birthday cupcakes. Luckily the timing worked out and the girls held off with their naps and we were able to squeeze everything in.

Comparing her size.  We have this picture with Rylie; however, Rylie
wasn't walking yet, so we sat her next to it and she face planted into
the concrete shortly after.  Proud parenting moment.

One of my favorite faces...

A new play table from Mommy and Daddy.  This girl loves to splash in water.
We just have to keep her from eating the sand :)

Happy 1st Birthday sweet girl!
Dan and I had tickets to the Kacey Musgraves, Eli Young Band, Eric Church, and Kenny Chesney concert at Miller Park that night so Mom and Dad were going to spend time with the girls. The next morning, we got the garden planted and Grr and Grr Mom came over to visit with the birthday girl!
